A shining example of responsible and ecological tourism in India, Neeleshwar Hermitage is an eco-resort without exception. They stick to a no plastic policy (their water is purified on site) and their values of recycling, conservation and purification are carefully upheld. As a result, the place is heralded as a truly remarkable and peaceful sanctuary – both for us and for wildlife.
The site has been landscaped to encourage wild butterflies and a varied bird-life, as well as providing a nesting ground for endangered turtles. The next phase is setting up an organic vegetable garden and making use of solar energy. The hotel has two restaurants, eighteen beautifully cared for cottages and a beachfront infinity pool.
