We might focus on holiday properties here at Infinity Pool Holidays but when we discovered the plans for Casa Brutale we knew we had to share them with you. It’s an ambitious architectural project that will see one of the world’s most luxury houses build into the side of a cliff and the house is due to be completed by 2018, with construction starting any day now.
The property has been designed to accommodate up to six people and features underground parking for three cars and a rooftop infinity pool that puts the emphasis on the stunning view from the top of the Faqra Mountain it will be built into. Located just outside Beirut, the house has been designed to be fully safe and secure, despite concerns the house could fall if things shifted from the cliff face.
As the name suggests, the house’s design is inspired by Brutalism and features design aspects you’d expect – glass, steel and concrete lending themselves to a simple, stark design. This isn’t the place for trinkets and bright colours; it’s a neutral haven of minimalism and pared back elegance.
The house’s private location and peaceful views make it the perfect buy for somebody looking for ultimate escapism…the only downside being that the budget is a cool $2.5 million.
